Many people ask me about the benefits of attending "Internet Marketing" and "Business Opportunities" seminars. They used to be an expensive pastime, but the "seminar landscape" is changing!
However, the trick is to know which are the best marketing seminars to should attend! More in a minute.
First up, I am a great believer that you can gain knowledge at these seminars that it is impossible to get from eBooks, Online Video, DVD's or CD's. And...I have met and spent time with Internet Marketing icons such as Armand Morin, Tom Hua, Brett McFall, Dan Kennedy, Ewen Chia and Simon Coulson. This is where you can gain some real value if you can get these guys one on one and get to really "pick their brains"...it might cost you dinner!
But, as I said, the landscape is changing. The price of attending these seminars has crashed. Now you might thinks that is good, but it has a downside!
Now far be it from me to suggest that an Internet Marketer will ever turn down a chance to sell his or her products. But the pitch fest that some of these seminars have turned into has got ridiculous.
At a weekend seminar you can expect 10-12 speakers, and at the end of each of their presentations you can expect to be pitched for a $2,997 - $4,997 product package. You could buy a house with what you could spend at a seminar!
It is also interesting that some speakers will talk for 90 minutes and give you nothing but fluff and promises and people still buy their products. Other speakers will give you a good 60 minutes of content before they trip over into "pitch mode"!
So, apart from expecting to be pitched to spend large chunks of your hard-earned, there are two issues you need to be aware of.
Firstly what are the best seminars to attend, and secondly what tactics you need to adopt if you do attend?
I used to recommend four seminars.
Andrew Reynold Bootcamp
Armand Morin Live and the Armand Morin Big Seminar
World Internet Summit
